The Unity SDK, communication drivers, and code samples included in this project are licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License version 3.0 (LGPL-3.0).

Notice for Game & Application Developers (Linking Clarification)​

  • Commercial Friendly: For external developers or partners building independent applications (such as Unity games or mobile apps), simply referencing, invoking, or linking to this SDK does not cause your application to be deemed a derivative work.
  • Closed-Source Protection: Your own game/application source code and art assets can remain closed-source and be distributed commercially.
  • Modifications: If you directly modify or extend the WhizToys SDK core source code and distribute binaries incorporating those modifications, the modified SDK source code must be made publicly available under LGPL-3.0.

  • Patents Defense: Any patents related to the hardware mechanism and sensor technology covered by this SDK are exclusively licensed for use with genuine WhizToys mat hardware.
